Many organizations are still struggling with the value of social media and how it factors into the overall marketing/comms strategy. Others are experimenting with it through ad hoc activities on the side. And others want to be everywhere social but don’t have the strategy, resources or a way to sustain it. Where is your org?

Monday’s HTCE session presents Mhairi Petrovic, President, Out-Smarts Marketing Inc., an internet marketing and social media company services company. Mhairi will take us on a social media journey from viability to implementation and beyond. This session is specifically aimed at addressing the hurdles that established organisations face when incorporating social media into their marketing mix. Case Study: Using Metroland Media Group (the largest community newspaper chain in Ontario) as a case study, we will step through the key factors that established organisations should take into account when developing and implementing manageable social media strategies.
