Membership
The High-Tech Communications Exchange (HTCE) welcomes communicators, marketers, writers and designers who are interested in learning how technology is opening up new avenues to communicate and market.
Who and What:
The group comprises junior, intermediate and senior professionals who work for companies or agencies or who are entrepreneurs. Over the years, the HTCE has developed a strong core group and continues to welcome new and enthusiastic members who are willing to get involved. The group meets every four to six weeks, and exchanges information through lectures, panels, discussions, round tables and socializing.
No Pitching:
While we want to grow a rich network, the HTCE is not a business-generating group. Sure we’ll meet business contacts and may even land an opportunity, but that is not the intent. If you attend HTCE meetings, please do so in the spirit of learning more about communications and marketing and contributing your knowledge within this context.
How Much?
There is no annual membership fee, however there is a charge for each event. The fee is reasonable and primarily covers the cost of food and refreshments.
Don’t be a No Show:
We order the food based on the number of RSVPs so if you say you’re coming and don’t show we need to charge you. We realize things come up so send us an email prior to the event if you have to bail.
How do I Join?
To become part of HTCE simply go to the mailing list and register. Then you’ll be on the mailing list to receive notices about upcoming events and you can come along to see for yourself whether or not the group is of interest and value to you.
Volunteer:
The HTCE runs completely on volunteer power. For each event we require people help us out on the registration desk. If you would like to volunteer to help out at an event send an e-mail to volunteer@htce.org. It’s a great way to get involved and meet new people.
